Birthday gift for *SilverLunarwing

I figured someone who has been such a companion and has made such an impact on my life (art-wise and in other ways) should receive a birthday gift that also serves as a milestone in my art "career".

I used chalk pastels for this piece. After watching a classmate use them, I figured I could replicate her techniques with a certain degree of competency. In my opinion, I succeeded. x3

Oh, and the rug Silver is lying on - just pretend *7shikamaru7 gave it to her.

Oh my gosh, this is so cute! I love the texture the pastels give to it; very soft and relaxed with the blue shading tones and all. (Shika totally snuck a rug in while I wasn't looking)

But I don't use it...I have a difficult enough time getting on dA (messages backed up again), so a system of IM would use up even more time.
